Alex Armani-Munn

Executive Director

Alex joined ACEDC as Executive Director in February 2025. He brings more than a decade of community and economic development experience with positions spanning the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Alex began his career as a management analyst for the Town of Nederland, Colorado where he received extensive training in all aspects of city management. From there, Alex worked in media and public relations for leading place-marketing firm Development Counsellors International in Denver, Colorado. Alex then spent four years with the Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs rising from the position of Economic Vitality Coordinator to Director of Economic Development. In this role, Alex managed multiple programs focused on promoting and supporting new business and development in the city’s urban core. From 2021 to 2022, Alex worked with private equity firm The O’Neil Group Company in Colorado Springs where he managed pre-development work for multiple real estate projects including a new urban high-rise, a 25-acre master planned mixed-use development, and expansion of a 12-acre urban business campus. Most recently, Alex worked as a project manager for architecture and engineering firm AES Northeast in his hometown of Plattsburgh, NY where he managed critical infrastructure projects for small municipalities while also providing grant writing assistance and grant administration services.


Alex is an alum of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps and a member of the American Planning Association. Alex loves to travel and has previously lived abroad in Prague, Czech Republic and Milan, Italy. He holds a bachelor degree in political science from the University of Northern Colorado and a master degree in political science and public policy from the University of Colorado-Denver.
